HomeFurnace Installation

OUR SERVICESFurnace Installation

Your home comfort system is most likely the single biggest use of energy in your home. In fact, over a third of the energy used in the United States is used to heat and cool buildings. Having a properly designed and installed heating and air conditioning system will have the biggest impact on your energy costs.

As a homeowner, one of the toughest decisions you'll have to make about your furnace is when it's time to replace your old system for a new unit. Although a new furnace can be a big investment, so can the costs of continuing to repair and operate and old, inefficient unit.

Our Installation Process

1
Schedule Estimate
If you'd like a free estimate for a new residential or commercial heating system, please call us at 419-586-2348 or use our Request A Quote feature. We'll get you scheduled for a free onsite estimate with our experienced technician.
2
Onsite Visit
All of our free estimates require an onsite visit from one of our qualified technicians. Our goal is to understand any issues you may be having with the current system, such as hot/cold spots, as well as any other goals you may have for your new system, such as reducing energy consumption. We'll walk through your property with you to look at any specific areas of concern and to identify and show you any opportunities for improved comfort and efficiency. This includes inspecting your ductwork, which plays a critical role in your system's overall performance.
3
Equipment Options
Once we understand your property and your goals, we will customize replacement options to fit them. We'll discuss your options to help you select the one that will work best for you. We will match your needs and budget with the right system and help you get the most out of it by installing it properly. We work hard to earn and keep customers' trust, which means we'll only recommend work that's in your best interest. If you don't need a repair or replacement, we're not going to try to convince you that you do.
4
Installation
Once you've selected a replacement option, please contact us. We will make every effort to schedule your installation at a time that works best for you. Our goal is to make the process as convenient as possible for you.

The installation crew we send to your home will always be made up of full-time Lake Contracting employees, not subcontractors. The use of subcontractors can lead to a disconnect between the quality of work that is promised and the quality of work that is performed. Our crews are trained to provide clean, quality installations. They are held to high standards and consistently meet them.

So how are you supposed to know when it's time to replace your furnace?

Your furnace is more than 10 years old
If you take good care of your furnace with annual maintenance then it can last anywhere from 15-20 years. However, once your furnace is 10 years old it is time to start monitoring its performance and creating your furnace replacement plan.
You notice your furnace is inefficient
Today's furnaces are more energy efficient than ever with a minimum requirement of 78 AFUE. Some models have AFUE ratings as high as the upper 90's. While it costs money upfront to purchase a new furnace, if you're paying high monthly bills due to an inefficient heating system, a new energy efficient furnace will help you recoup that money over time.
You're facing expensive repairs
Any time you're facing an expensive furnace repair, you'll want to weigh the costs of the repair against the cost of a new unit. If the cost of the repair would cover a large part of a new system, and especially if your furnace is showing any of the other signs on this list, it will likely make more financial sense to replace it.
You've had frequent breakdowns
Constant repairs to your furnace can quickly add up and it doesn't make sense to keep making them on older units. Save yourself the headaches and the money by investing in a new unit.
Age of air conditioner - you might need to replace both
If your furnace and air conditioner are the same age and your furnace needs replaced, you might want to consider also replacing your air conditioner at the same time. The efficiency of the two units will be very different and it will be less expensive to replace both at the same time instead of waiting until a later date to replace the air conditioner.
Your home isn't as comfortable as it used to be
If you have cool spots in your home due to uneven heat distribution, or if your furnace just doesn't seem to be able to keep your home warm enough, then it's time to consider a new furnace.
